Bette Teele

October 22, 1923 — January 17, 2020

Bette Jane (Shober) Teele , 96, went "home" to heaven on January 17th, 2020 at St. Luke's Hospice House. She was born the seventh of ten children, in Denver, PA, October 22, 1923, to the late James L. and Elsie (Musser) Shober. Bette graduated from East Cocalico High School in 1942 and lived most of her life in and around Quakertown, Pennsylvania. She was a member of Morning Star Fellowship, Quakertown. Bette was active at the Grundy House, planning community dinners and bus trips. She loved Jesus and was active in her church. She volunteered at Grandview Hospital for many years. A busy lady, full of life and energy for most of her years, she loved to bless others with her gifts and talents. She was an avid baker, blessing many with her delectable treats, especially around Christmas time. She bowled with a Seniors bowling league until she was 90. Bette especially enjoyed family gatherings and cooking big family dinners! Bette is survived by her daughter, Beth, married to Earl Falls, Quakertown; and son, Curtis, East Greenville; 5 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 2 brothers, Paul Shober of Ephrata and James Shober of Reamstown. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by 7 siblings, Naomi Demming, Mae Fry, Kathryn Leid, Ellis Shober, Lester Shober, Clair Shober and Dorothy Shealer. A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held at Morning Star Fellowship, 9th and Main Streets, Quakertown, on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 11:00 AM. Greeting time will held from 10 to 11 AM.
