John A. Bickley, 77, of Pennsburg, previously of Quakertown died peacefully at home on Monday, January, 28 surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of Nancy C. (Koehler) Bickley for 58 years. Born in Quakertown, he was a son of the late Harold R. & Naomi A. (Chapman) Bickley. John graduated from QHS in 1959 and after served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Pennsburg United Church of Christ, but had been recently attending Calvary Church Quakertown. John did volunteer work at Phoebe Richland Health Care Center in Richlandtown for 10 years. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed making people smile, taking family vacations to Wild Wood with extended family and attending sports/theater events for his grandchildren. He was a proud living donor to his son David who needed a kidney. Surviving with his wife are children: Donna Haws, husband Richard of East Greenville, David, wife Jennifer of Hereford & Karen Harwick, husband Scott of Pennsburg; grandchildren: Jamie, Tiffany, Travis & Sara ; 1 great-grandchild on the way and siblings: Harold, Donald, Barry & Lois. He was predeceased by brothers: Fred & Joseph. Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, February, 2 in the Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, 135 W. Pumping Station Road, Quakertown, with a visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Calvary Church Quakertown, 50 E. Paletown Rd., Quakertown, PA 18951.
