Kenneth Everitt

Kenneth W. Everitt, 80, of Coopersburg, went home to be with his Lord on November 24, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Sandra (Van Riper) Everitt, to whom he had been married for 56 years. He was born on December 21, 1937, in Lewisburg, PA, to the late Dean and Martha (Strassner) Everitt. Kenneth graduated from Mifflinburg High School in 1955, and went on to serve his country with distinction in the U.S. Air Force. After his time in the armed forces, he went on to become the meat department manager for multiple Weis supermarkets for 25 years, and then eventually the Dublin, PA, IGA supermarket, from which he retired in 2009. He was an active member of the Community Baptist Church in Coopersburg, as well as serving as a Bus Pastor for over 30 years at Bethel Baptist Church in Sellersville. He was an avid fan of Philadelphia sports teams. Surviving with his wife, are daughters Sharee Tongue (husband Randy) of Harleysville, and Carole Kramer (husband Paul) of Quakertown; son Steve Everitt (wife Lori) of Farmington Hills, MI; 14 beloved grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; and brothers Carl Everitt (wife Donna) of Mifflinburg, and Donald Everitt (wife Judy) of Mifflinburg. In addition to his parents, Kenneth is preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Dershem, and brother Harold Everitt. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, November 30, at Community Baptist Church, 7350 Elementary Road, Coopersburg, with Pastor David A. Smith officiating.
