Lloyd Bahner

September 6, 1931 — November 1, 2018

On November 1, 2018, Lloyd Bahner of Quakertown, PA departed this world for his Heavenly home, he was 87 years old. Lloyd was born on September 6, 1931 in Williamsport, PA to Carmi and Florence (Hawk) Bahner deceased. He graduated from Montgomery High School, Montgomery, PA in 1950. From May 1951 to December 1953 Lloyd served in the United States Air Force. For his service in Korea during the Korean Conflict, he was awarded the Korean Service medal. Upon his discharge from active duty, he enrolled as an undergraduate student at Bob Jones University, in Greenville, SC. While a student at BJU he met and married his loyal and loving wife Doris. In 1968, Lloyd was granted a full scholarship and living stipend for a graduate degree from the College of New Jersey. After graduating from BJU in 1954, Lloyd and his wife moved to Pennsylvania, where he became a teacher in the public-school system. In addition to his teaching in the classroom, he served as an adjunct professor of Special Education for Penn State University, Ogontz campus for 15 years. After retiring, they were able to travel extensively including trips to England, China and many states across the USA. Lloyd enjoyed participating in his local church where he was a member of Grace Bible Fellowship Church. He was also a member of Post 242 of the American Legion. He was also a diligent care taker of his wife of 61 years, who had been ill for several years. Survivors: Son Michael and wife Linda and 2 grandchildren, Steven and Catherine of Chapel Hill, NC. Son David and wife Gail, grandson David Patrick and granddaughter Heather, and great-grandchildren, Lilli and Logan of Pismo Beach, CA. Son Bruce and wife Janae and granddaughter Hanna of Layton, Utah. He was preceded in death by an infant brother, who died in 1938. Services will be held at Naugle Funeral Home on November 5, with viewing starting at 9:30 am, service starting at 11 am immediately followed by graveside service.
