Mary Lagdan

July 26, 1927 — March 15, 2020

Mary Elizabeth (Fryzuk) Lagdan, age 92, of Quakertown, PA, formerly of Lawncrest, PA in Northeast Philadelphia, passed away Sunday March 15, 2020 at Lutheran Community Retirement community in Telford, PA. She was the wife of the late John Lagdan who died in 1983. A Canadian citizen born in Toronto to the late John and Wasylyna (Dudla) Fryzuk, she moved to Philadelphia June 22, 1951. She worked at Five Point Bridal Shoppe as a professional seamstress for many years. She enjoyed sewing and designed her daughters wedding dresses. She was an avid bowler whose team won several trophies. She was a Den mother for the local Cub Scout group in Lawncrest PA and enjoyed making and selling crafts, especially elaborate beadwork. She volunteered at the local Heartland Hospice of Allentown by creating gifts for Hospice patients. She was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church in Quakertown and she would spend hours every day building elaborate puzzles. In addition to her parents John and Lena, she is predeceased by a daughter Susan, and a sister Helen. She is survived by daughter Mary Ann December and her husband Kim, son John Lagdan, son-in-law James Abrams, brothers Pete and Steve Fryzuk and sister Anne Maniw.
