Dr. Aleta L. Detwiler, 77, of Sellersville, passed away peacefully at home on July 29, 2026. She was born in Swissvale, PA on August 24, 1948 to the late Theodore Pearson and Lois (Goff) Pearson. She was the wife of Jay Keyser for over 30 years, and together they raised their wonderful two sons. Aleta was the first female dentist in Bucks County, and was a staple in the heart of Quakertown. Her office, Beautiful Smiles, featured her work for over 45 years. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, sewing, cooking, and baking. Aleta enjoyed having family and friends around her, and was at her happiest when her house was full of the people she loved.
Aleta is survived by her children Matthew Detwiler and wife Judy Detwiler, and Nicholas Detwiler; grandchildren Paige, Camren, Derek, Justin, Trevor, and Jaxson; siblings Susana Weber (David), Theodora Pearson and Dr. Thomas Pearson (Sarah); and many other loving family and friends.
All are invited on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 to Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, 135 W. Pumping Station Rd., Quakertown, PA 18951 for a viewing from 10:00am-12:00pm, and a funeral service at 12:00pm.
