Barbara Jean Bright (Fosbenner) of Red Hill passed away on August 5, 2023 at St Luke's Bethlehem.
Born August 27, 1947 in Quakertown, she was the daughter of Harold D. Fosbenner 7/11/1924-12/11/1999 & Florence F. Fosbenner (Dietz) 8/10/1927-8/5/2017.
Barbara was the first granddaughter born to the late Isaac F. Fosbenner & Kathryn A. (Diehl) Fosbenner, who affectionately called Barbara "Queenie". She was also the first of 40 grandchildren to be born to the late Estella “Stella” (Frank) Dietz & William H. Dietz Sr.
Barbara graduated from Quakertown High School Class of 1965. She worked in the office at Sine's 5 & 10. Married and divorced Ralph Langford. She then married Clarence "Shorty" Bright & moved to Hillsdale, Michigan, where she owned & operated a large craft store named The Penny Pincher (est 1974). After her second divorce, she returned to Pennsylvania and worked in the offices at Q-Mart, Cress Gas, Trexler-Haines Gas. Later, she was a leading sales associate at the Country Junction Ashley Store in Quakertown.
Some of Barbara’s past activities included doing arts & crafts, volunteering, watching tv, movies, and the Phillies games. She really enjoyed going out with family & friends. Barbara was a past President of the Upper Perkiomen Valley Lions Club (2006/2007). She was an artist, expressing herself through many paintings she created and the innumerable arts & crafts she shared with everyone. Barbara also helped with the QCHS Classmates of the 1960's mini reunions.
She is survived by her Aunt Donna Dietz, her cousins, nieces & nephews, as well as her siblings; Linda Haines (Fosbenner) & husband David of Red Hill, David H. Fosbenner & wife Pam (Chobot) of Quakertown, Thomas J. Fosbenner Sr. of Telford, Daniel J. Fosbenner & wife Renee (Berger) of East Greenville, and Mark W. Fosbenner & Megan Bradfield of Quakertown.

On Barbara's birthday, Aug. 27, 2023, a memorial service will be held at St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 81 Main St., Pennsburg, PA 18073. Calling hour 1-2 PM. Service of Remembrance at 2 PM with a dessert social time afterwards.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the QCHS Alumni Association for the scholarship fund or to the Upper Perkiomen Valley Lions Club.
