Barbara Jeanne Colflesh (née Lockard), 80, passed away on June 20, 2026. She was born in Philadelphia on July 8, 1945, to the late William and Elizabeth (Busch) Lockard. She was the middle of three sisters, with her older sister Bitsy and younger sister Jane.

Barbara was the loving wife of John Byron Colflesh (Renny) and a devoted mother to their three children: Matthew (wife Monica), Mark (wife Bethany), and Heather Fell (husband Greg).

She was a loving grandmother to eight grandchildren: Lily, Reese, Nora, Mabel, Miles, and Ralph, children of Matthew and Monica; Logan, son of Mark and Bethany; and Colin, son of Heather and Greg.

Barbara graduated from Cheltenham High School in 1964. As a young woman, she worked at McNeil Laboratories which she enjoyed tremendously. After becoming a mother, she returned home and raised Matt, Mark, and Heather until they reached school age. She returned to the workforce in food services at the Pennridge School District for several years before retiring. In retirement, she was an active volunteer in the local food pantry and throughout her life, she was an active volunteer at church. She helped with everything from setting up breakfast and coffee to making meals for families, organizing kids' crafts, and helping with Vacation Bible School. She was a devoted member of the body of Christ.

Barbara’s life was marked by her love and devotion to her family. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who treasured her children and grandchildren. She had a way of making us all feel special, and she thought of you often, even if she didn’t see you often. It might be when she found that little something while out shopping and kept it for months until she saw you. Sometimes it was a surprise package on your doorstep, mail, or a card. You knew you were loved.

Barbara will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her. While we grieve her loss, we take comfort in the Christian hope that those who belong to Christ, though absent from the body, are at home with the Lord.

Details for a memorial service will be announced at a later date.
