Bernard “Bern” Thamarus passed peacefully into eternal rest on May 3, 2026, at his home in Naples, Florida, surrounded by his beloved family and close friends.

Bern was a resident of Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, and Naples, Florida. Born on December 29, 1941, in Barnesville, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Bernard W.C. Thamarus and Thelma A. (Krause) Thamarus. He was preceded in death by his sister, Irene “Dolly” Boland.

He is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 45 years, Regina Cannon Thamarus; his beloved daughter, Bria T. Solak, and son-in-law, John S. Solak; and his cherished grandchildren, Cannon and Aria Mae. He is also survived by his sister, Marcia Thamarus Williams; sister-in-law, Dolly Cannon Fair; brother-in-law, Joseph Fair; and many nieces and nephews who will greatly miss him.

Bern was a graduate of Mahanoy City High School and Drexel University. He co-founded ENV Services, Inc. alongside his longtime friend of nearly 60 years, David Avayou. Bern remained actively involved in the company throughout his life, working closely with David and his Vice President, Corey Sandmann, who was like a son to him. Under their leadership, ENV Services, Inc. grew into a national company employing more than 150 people, with headquarters in Hatfield, Pennsylvania.

Bern was deeply devoted to his family and took great pride in his business. He also enjoyed baseball, skiing, and spending time socializing with his many friends. His warmth, loyalty, and generous spirit will be remembered by all who knew him.

All are invited to visit with Bern's family on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 10:00 ~ 11:30 a.m. at Naugle Funeral Home, 135 W. Pumping Station Road, Quakertown, PA 18951. (215-536-3343) A Celebration of Life will begin at 11:30 a.m.
