Bette Grant

Bette Ann Grant, 73, of Kintnersville, passed away Friday, February 26, 2010 in the company of her family at the Hospice House of VNA of St. Luke's. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Kozari) George and the wife of Gordon A. Grant Jr. for 51 years. She graduated from (Liberty) Bethlehem High School, the Marinello School of Beauty Culture in New York City, and attended Bucks County Community College and Temple University for her teaching license. She worked for many years at Elsie's Beauty Shop in Bethlehem and also worked as a stylist in Quakertown. She taught cosmetology as a subsitute teacher in the Upper Bucks, Bethlehem, and Northampton Vocation-Technical High Schools. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Elsie Totenbier and Helen Gallo. Survivors: Bette Ann is survived by her husband, Gordon, and her children and grandchildren: Lisa Opdyke, her husband Doug, and their sons, Jimmy and Ryan; Gordon Grant III, his wife Holly, and their children Paul, John and Kate; and Kathryn Bontomase, her husband Tony, and their children Jasper and Sarah.
