Bridget Ann Witts

With profound sadness and immense love, we announce the passing of Bridget Ann Witts, of Souderton, Pennsylvania, who entered eternal rest on August 5, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was 66 years old. Born on July 23, 1960, in Abington, Pennsylvania, Bridget was the beloved daughter of the late Charley Scarpill and Florence (Barlow) Scarpill, and the cherished sister of the late Charles W. Scarpill.

Bridget attended Nativity of Our Lord School before graduating from Archbishop Wood Girls High School in 1978. She went on to attend Gwynedd Mercy College, earning her ASN and RN in 1982, beginning a remarkable career that spanned more than 44 years.

Bridget shared a beautiful life with her devoted husband, Luke M. Witts, Jr. Together they built a family that was the center of her world. She was a loving mother to Jaime Witts, Brittany Kenyon, and Lauren Witts-Falcone. In 2015 Bridget and Luke became medical foster parents. Their journey began when they opened their hearts and home to our sweet Maryum. In 2022, they adopted their long-time foster children, Mark Munoz-Witts and Grace Witts. Bridget was an adoring grandmother to Kaylee Goodchild (Stephen), Florence Shott, Rowan Witts, Amelia Falcone, Anabelle Falcone, Aislynn Falcone, Finley Kenyon, Kye Kenyon, Xander Falcone, and Charley Kenyon, and she delighted in becoming a great-grandmother to Laela Jayne Goodchild. Nothing brought her greater joy than spending time with her family, creating treasured memories that will be carried in their hearts forever.

A woman of deep compassion and unwavering dedication, Bridget lived a life of service to others. Throughout her career, she worked in numerous specialties, including podiatry, intensive care, critical care, the IV team, pediatrics, and most recently, elder and dementia care. She was known for her kindness, gentle spirit, and exceptional skill, touching the lives of countless patients, families, physicians, and fellow nurses. She was also a proud lifetime member of the Warminster Volunteer Ambulance Corps. One of the unique highlights of her nursing career was caring for beloved children’s author Stan Berenstain during her time at Doylestown Hospital.

Outside of nursing, Bridget embraced life with joy and wonder. She had a lifelong love of all things Disney, and some of her happiest moments were spent making magical memories with Luke, her children, and her grandchildren at Walt Disney World. When she wasn’t enjoying the magic of Disney, the beach was one of her favorite places to be. She found peace by the ocean, especially on family trips to Wildwood and Ocean City.

Bridget’s warmth, generosity, and radiant smile left an unforgettable mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her. She gave endlessly of herself—to her family, her friends, her patients, and her community—and her legacy of compassion, strength, and unconditional love will continue to inspire all whose lives she touched.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Bridget’s life during a viewing on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Naugle Funeral Home, 135 W. Pumping Station Rd., Quakertown, PA 18951. A second viewing will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Naugle Funeral Home, followed by a funeral mass at St. Isidore Roman Catholic Church, 2545 W. Pumping Station Rd., Quakertown, PA 18951.

Bridget will be laid to rest at St. John Neumann Cemetery in Chalfont, PA following the mass.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the Frances M. Maguire College of Nursing and Health Professions at Gwynedd Mercy University, honoring Bridget’s lifelong commitment to the nursing profession and the compassionate care she so faithfully provided.
