Bryan Cory Verhanovitz

Bryan Cory Verhanovitz, 51, of Center Valley, PA, died unexpectedly on April 30th, 2025, in his home. Born in Allentown, PA, Bryan was the son of the late Dr. Richard Verhanovitz and the late Ellen Jane (Chergosky) Verhanovitz.

Bryan grew up in Royersford, PA where he attended Spring-Ford High School and graduated in 1992. After High School, Bryan continued his education by attending Penn State University where he received his BS and then returned for his MBA and MSIS degrees.

Bryan began working at Booz Allen Hamilton as an IT Consultant and enjoyed the work so much he decided to return to school to work on his master’s degrees. Bryan worked at other various companies before joining the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

His passion for life extended well beyond his professional endeavors, in his free time, Bryan enjoyed watching Philadelphia sports teams and had a love of reading science-fiction novels. Bryan also loved horror movies. He enjoyed being a part of online horror movie forums and hosted several international horror movie marathons online.

Earlier in his life, Bryan joined Boy Scouts and continued until he reached the rank of Life Scout. Bryan started swimming at Nine Oaks Swim Club, competed with the swim team in middle and high school and worked as a lifeguard. Bryan enjoyed playing basketball in middle school and then moved to playing football in high school, following in his father’s footsteps. He also had a love of theater, particularly working behind-the-scenes with set and technical design.

Bryan was a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.

He always had a special place in his heart for animals. He had several dogs and also enjoyed other animals, especially monkeys and loved going to zoos. He amassed a large collection of stuffed monkeys and gorillas gifted to him by family.

Above all else, he loved his family deeply and cherished the time spent with them.

Bryan will be dearly missed by his wife, Jean, together they shared 24 loving years of marriage; his sister, Beth Clark (Chad); his nephews Noah and Peter Clark, Christian Haddock and niece Sydney Clark; along with his extended family members and friends. Bryan is predeceased by his parents.

All are invited to visit with Bryan’s family on Friday, May 9th, from 11:00 ~ 12:00pm, located at Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, Ltd. 135 W. Pumping Station Road, Quakertown, PA, 18951. (215-536-3343) A memorial service will begin at 12:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bryan’s name to Chimp Haven in Keithville, LA.
