Carol M. Wackerman

Carol M. Wackerman, 89, of Quakertown, passed away on November 2, 2026. She was born in Quakertown on September 3, 1937 to the late George W. Sowers and Esther (Trout) Sowers. Carol participated in the bocce ball competition at the recent senior games and managed to win in her age group! She was a regular attendee at Quakertown United Methodist Church. Carol was devoted to her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed heading out to the shops to find the newest and best piece of clothing. Carol's favorite place was Windy Springs Farmer's Market, and she loved browsing the fresh flowers and produce there. One of Carol's favorite yearly traditions was her annual New Year's Day sauerkraut dinner. Other special dinner nights would feature her homemade chicken pie followed by apple or blueberry pie for dessert. 

Carol is survived by her children Dean Wackerman (Linda), Kalyn Roberts (Kyle Schmeck), and Trisha Souder (Jeff); grandchildren Carly, Madeleine, Benjamin, Jacob, Shane, Courtney, and Kendall; 4 great grandchildren; sister Charlene Barton; and many other loving family and friends. She is predeceased by her parents and siblings Jane Meyers, Stan Sowers, George Sowers, Doris Ziegler, and Ronald Sowers.

A service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, November 12, 2026 at Quakertown United Methodist Church, 1875 Freier Rd., Quakertown, PA 18951.
