Christine L. O'Connell

Christine L. O'Connell, 61, of Avon, passed away peacefully on Thursday October 8, 2026. Born in Souderton, PA, daughter of the late of Richard L. & Margaret (Crouthamel) O'Connell, she was raised in CT and graduated from Windham High School. Christine was employed as an underwriter for The Hartford for 30 years before her retirement.

Christine enjoyed cooking and frequent trips to Martha's Vinyard where her father started and owned the Sandpiper Restaurant. She loved watching TV, especially crime and mystery shows. Christine fostered guide dogs for Fidelco and Guiding Eyes for many years. She had her own dog, Nakoma, a Husky, who was her constant companion.

Christine will be dearly missed by her brother, Daniel L. O'Connell and his wife Lori of Middletown; her significant other, Philip R. Gordon of Avon; several cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Beside her parents, her brother, Michael Peir predeceased her.

Private services will be held with burial in Hillside Avenue Cemetery, Souderton, PA.
