Dana Lee Johnson

Dana Lee Johnson, 70, of Upper Black Eddy, passed away on June 30, 2026. He was born in Fleming, KY, on June 8, 1956 to the late Roy and Margaret (Cornett) Johnson. Dana was the loving husband of Donna Ellen Haynes-Johnson for 42 years. He attended Meigs High School in Ohio before earning his Bachelors from the University of Rio Grande in Ohio, and his PhD from Wayne State University in Michigan. Dana worked as a research and development scientist for Johnson & Johnson for the entirety of his career producing many publications, cited works, and patents. He enjoyed spending time in nature and bird watching, as well as dining out and spending time with family. Dana will be lovingly remembered for his dry wit and calming presence.

Dana is survived by his wife Donna; daughter Caitlin Johnson and son-in-law Lucas Bricker; sister Mary Johnson and many other loving family and friends.

A celebration of Dana's life will be announced at a later date.
