Doris Long

Doris A Long, 73, Doylestown died Tuesday, June 30 in her home. Born in Doylestown, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Hettie (Miller) Lear. She worked in various manufacturing factories in the Doylestown area before retiring. Surviving, daughter, Karla Aichele and husband E. Richard of Upper Black Eddy; son, Robert G. and wife Carol of Perkasie; grandchildren, Christopher Long, Matthew Long, E. Richard Aichele IV, Kristin Aichele; sisters: Emma Diehl of North Wales, Gladys Neppes of Shartlesville; brothers, John Lear, Garwood Lear both of Gardenville, Clarence "Bud" Lear Jr. of New Hope, Walter Lear of Bradford Co., George Lear of Laceyville. Preceded in death by brother, Herbert Lear and sister, Olive Davis. Memorial service will be held 6:30 pm Thursday, July 16th in St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church (Kellers Church), Perkasie. Jeffrey A. Naugle Funeral Home, 20 N Ambler St, Quakertown is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St. Matthew's Memorial Garden Fund, 3668 Ridge Road, Perkasie, PA 18944.
