E. Donald Zuck, 78, Quakertown, died Sun., Oct 16 in Quakertown Center. He was the husband of the late Doris (Nase) Zuck. He was a project engineer for the AMETEK/U.S. Gauge, Sellersville and held three US Patents awarded during his work before retiring in 1997. He also worked for Wiedemann, Inc, King of Prussia and FMC, Chalfont. Born in Quakertown, he was the son of the late Earl H. & Ruth M. (Fellman) Zuck. He was a member of the First United Church of Christ, Quakertown, Quakertown Lodge #512 F&AM, Friendship Forest #146 Tall Cedars of Lebanon where he served as the 'Cedar Chips' editor, and the Lehigh Consistery. He had served as a Scoutmaster for Troop #55 and was a member of the Order of the Arrow. He enjoyed camping and was a member of the National Campers & Hikers Assoc, serving as President of local chapters. He was a member of AARP 3377 where he served on the Board of Directors, was a past president and as editor of the AARP Newsletter. He had also served as a rescue volunteer for Civil Defense. He was an active life member of Quakertown Moose Lodge #1622 serving as a Past Governor, lodge secretary from 1979-1995, and past president of District #3. He was a life member of the North Penn Legion #124 where he had served as past North Moose. He was a 25 Club Member and had received his Fellowship Degree and Pilgrim Degree of Merit. He served as editor of the "Moose News" and received numerous awards for the publication. In 2006 he was nominated for the "Shining Star Award" for "Journalist of the Year". He is survived by a sister Betty Jean Zuck of Quakertown. He is also survived by Kevin Ducharme and Karen Korzeniowski which was considered as a niece and nephew. He is also survived by five great nephews and one great niece as a result. Funeral services will be held Sat., Oct. 23 in the Jeffrey A. Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, 135 W. Pumping Station Rd., Quakertown. www.janauglefcs.com Interment will be in Quakertown Union Cemetery. Call at the funeral home Sat. 10 - 11 AM. Memorial contributions should be directed to the Memorial Fund, First UCC, 151 S. Fourth St., Quakertown, Pa. 18951.
