Edna Johnson

Edna N. Johnson, age 93, of Quakertown, Pennsylvania, passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Lifequest Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Floyd Johnson who died in 2001 and with whom she shared 24 years of loving, adventure-filled marriage. Born in Telford, PA she was a daughter of Oliver Wampole and Katie Schrauger Wampole.

After many years, she retired as a check shingler at Safeguard Business Systems, North Wales, PA.  She enjoyed many hobbies including crocheting, knitting, counted cross-stitch, sewing, gardening, and watching the birds flock to her feeders. Edna was also a regular attendee at bingo nights at both the Quakertown and Shelly Fire Company halls.

Edna was a loving mother to her three children; Richard (deceased) and is survived by her two daughters Patricia, wife of Tom Mallough, of Macungie, PA and Janet, wife of Jim Creedon, of Bethlehem, PA. Her extended family includes Floyd's four children; Patti, wife of Rick Perkins, of New Jersey, Michael of Virginia, Lee of Virginia, and Thomas (deceased).
Edna was an adoring grandmother to 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her sisters Pearl Erb and Catherine Krebs and brother Oliver Wampole. She is survived by her sisters Peggy Dungan of Quakertown and Mary Slotter of Delaware.
