Galen Hosgood

Galen Hosgood, 89, of Sellersville passed away on August 14, 2023. He was born in Mount Carmel, PA on July 14, 1934 to the late Thomas Hosgood and Dorothy (Mann) Frescatore. He was the loving husband of the late Marie Louise (Miller) Hosgood for 63 years. For 25 years Galen donated his time helping at the Souderton Senior Citizens Center, and he loved his time there. He was a member of the Local 542 Operating Engineers Union and gave 54 years of dedicated service. His hobbies included hunting & fishing. Galen enjoyed his time at his summer place in Ideal Park in Catawissa, PA.

Galen is survived by his children Marie (Mark) Snyder, Thomas (Lisa) Hosgood, G. Scott (Erica) Hosgood, Gale (Paul) Sharkey, and Denise (Joe) Wilfong; grandchildren Jaime Kaler, Christopher Humlhanz, Leslie Humlhanz, Thomas Hosgood, Kimberly Martin, Danielle Hosgood, Joseph Wilfong Jr., Brittany Hosgood, & Bianca Wilfong; great-grandchildren Lennon Kaler, Lincoln Kaler, Michael Humlhanz, Victoria Humlhanz, Dylan Humlhanz, Cole Musselman, Giana Stutzman, Genuine Stutzman, Joseph Wilfong III, Kayci Wilfong, Hannah Davis, & Evelyn Hosgood; sister Ramona Chango; and many other loving family & friends. He is predeceased by his parents; wife; and brother Thomas G. Hosgood.

All are invited on Wednesday, August 23 to Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, 135 W. Pumping Station Rd., Quakertown, PA 18951 to a visitation from 10:00-11:30am and a memorial service at 11:30am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Galen's honor to the Paralyzed Veterans of America or the St. Luke's Hospice House at 2455 Black River Rd., Bethlehem, PA 18015.
