Gary L. Benner

Gary L. Benner, age 69, of Quakertown, Pennsylvania, passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at his home in Quakertown, PA. Born in Sellersville, PA he was the son of the late Edward Benner and the late Margaret Miller Benner.

Gary graduated from Quakertown High School and was a retired machinist.

Gary loved all Philadelphia sports, especially the Eagles and the Phillies. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a longtime member of the Great Swamp Fish and Game Club.

He will be remembered for his witty sense of humor.

Survivors include two sisters, Susan Mood and her husband, Don of Trumbauersville and Kathy Applegate and her husband, Gene of Quakertown, PA; one nephew, Michael Applegate and his wife, Heather; two nieces, Michelle Wanner and her husband, Chris and Ashley Sawyer and her husband, Pat; and seven great-nieces and great-nephews. He is also survived by his beloved cat, Jay.

You are invited to visit with Gary’s family and friends from 6:00-7:00PM on Friday, November 21, 2025 at Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service (215-536-3343) 135 W. Pumping Station Rd. Quakertown, PA 18951. His Life Celebration memorial service will follow at 7:00PM. Interment will be held privately. Contributions in his memory may be made to the American Heart Association.
