Harold Schell Jr.

October 29, 1945 — January 26, 2021

Harold Walton Schell, Jr., age 75, went home to be with his Lord and Saviour on Mon. Jan. 26, 2021, at his home in Green Lane, PA. Born Oct. 29, 1945, in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Harold Walton, Sr. and Amanda (Lohwasser) Schell, and the widower of the late Dorothy (Vignali) Schell, who passed in 2016. Harold's career was spent at UFM International (now Crossworld), Penn Foundation, and Buckman's utilizing his gifts in finance. After his retirement in 2012, he worked part-time driving cars for Ciocca Dealerships. He was a founding member of two social services agencies. Best Nest, to provide child welfare services to children with special needs and their families, and Access Services, creating better ways to service people with special needs. Harold was a follower of Jesus and enjoyed studying God's Word alone and with others. One of the highlights of his week was his weekly Bible studies and prayer times with three other men. Above all, his family remembers him as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle who enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Harold is survived by: son Jonathan Schell (wife Shannon); daughters Rebecca Schell, Joy Leo (husband Alek), and Melody Wright (husband Chris); grandchildren Josiah, Alison, Olivia, Jakob, Amelia, Carson, Isaac, and Noah; brothers Bruce (wife Margaret), James, and Robert Schell (wife Ann); and sister Dorothy Schaffer. In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by son Nate Ruff. Services and interment will be private and at the discretion of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Harold's honor to Whosoever Gospel Mission (www.whosoevergospel.org), or Crossworld (www.crossworld.org).
