Helen Hamilton

Helen Mae (Koder) Hamilton, age 89, of Quakertown, Pennsylvania, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at Phoebe Richland Health Care Center. Born in Quakertown, Helen was the daughter of the late Claude Koder and Ruth (Gross) Koder.

Helen graduated from Quakertown High School in 1951, and she then attended the Reading School of Nursing. She spent her whole professional life working as a nurse at St. Luke’s, Quakertown, and several local schools.  Throughout her life, Helen loved participating in all types of sports, including golf, field hockey, and skiing, and she followed college football, local sports, and was always rooting for the Phillies. Helen enjoyed painting, reading, sewing, and playing the piano, and cherished the summer vacations she took with her children and grandchildren in Ocean City and Wildwood, New Jersey. Helen also enjoyed travelling to Florida to golf in the winter and visit her daughter, Diane.

Helen will be missed by her husband, Theodore Hamilton, and her four children: Judith Kramer (Allen Kramer) from Perkasie; Kenneth Hamilton (Annette Hamilton) from Pottstown; Diane Hamilton (Brock Rice) from Sarasota; and Michael Hamilton (Madeline Hamilton) from Bryn Mawr.  Helen was also survived by her beloved six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

You are invited to visit Helen’s family and friends for a visitation from 10:00-11:00 AM, on Sunday, October 2, 2022, followed by her funeral service from 11:00-11:30 AM at Naugle Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 135 W. Pumping Station Road, Quakertown, PA, 18951. Interment will be held at Trumbauersville Cemetery (Christ Union Cemetery) at 12:15 PM.
