Herman Mccarty, Jr.

Herman J. "Mick" McCarty, Jr., age 72, died Sunday, October 27, 2019, at his home in Haycock Township. Born May 8, 1947, he was the son of the late Herman, Sr. and Helen (Somp) McCarty, and the beloved husband of Elizabeth (Fournier) McCarty. Mick was an operator/maintenance mechanic for the Chalfont/New Britain Sewer Authority for 30 years, as well as a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers and the Paletown Rod and Gun Club. He was happiest cruising down the road on his Harley with his sons. He also loved playing bass guitar with so many of his friends. He was an avid fisherman and joyfully passed on his love of fishing to his eldest grand daughter, Isabel. He was known as P-Pop by his grandchildren. An avid storyteller, he also liked to tell the same jokes over and over again. He will be missed dearly by all, but especially by his loyal little beagle, Munch. In addition to his wife, Mick is survived by: sons Bryan (wife Diana) and Kevin McCarty; daughter Heather McCarty; grandchildren Isabel, Adriana, and Gabriel; and brothers David (wife Kathy), Patrick (wife Valerie), and Joseph McCarty.
