John Charles Flynn, 88, of Quakertown, passed away on December 11, 2025. He was born in Pittsburgh on February 23, 1937 to the late John and Agnes (Roeser) Flynn. John was the loving husband of Virginia (Hazlin) Flynn for 63 years. He was a math teacher for his entire working life, including 38 years at Jenkintown High School. John studied oil and watercolor painting and created many beautiful pieces at home. He loved to maintain the vegetable garden in his backyard and preserved the food to be enjoyed all year. He also loved to fish in the surf and enjoyed the beach in Ocean City, NJ. John was a devoted father to his two loving daughters. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who ever knew him. John had a special way of lifting up all those that he met throughout the years.
John is survived by his wife Virginia; daughters Anne Haag (Stephen) and Susan Flynn; siblings James Flynn (Britt) and Jane Banik; nieces; nephews; and many other loving family and friends. John is predeceased by his parents and sister Eileen Bricker.
All are invited on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 to St. Isidore Catholic Church, 2545 W. Pumping Station Rd., Quakertown, PA 18951 for a visitation from 10:00-10:50am, and a mass at 11:00am. Interment to follow at Quakertown Union Cemetery. Arrangements by Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in John's name can be made to the Bucks County Free Libraries, in order to support the Quakertown, Perkasie, or Doylestown locations he regularly frequented.
