John Francis Gilligan IV

We are sad to announce the passing of John Francis Gilligan IV of Murrells Inlet, SC. He died at age 28 on June 16, 2023.

John was born on January 9, 1995 in Sellersville, PA to John Gilligan III and Alissa Amos. He graduated from Quakertown Community High School and Upper Bucks County Technical School in 2013. He was a self-employed, professional painter for 9 years. March 28, 2022 was the most memorable and exciting day of John's life, as he welcomed his only son, John Francis Gilligan V. 

John is survived by his son; John Gilligan V; his brother, Joseph Gilligan Sr.; his sister, Brea Tarantino; his parents, John Gilligan III and Alissa Amos; his grandmothers, Barbara Gilligan and Ann O'Neill; his grandfather, Donald Amos; and many other loving family and friends. He is predeceased by his grandfather, John Gilligan Jr.

John was a devoted father and an avid outdoorsman. He was most at peace while enjoying nature. Hunting and fishing with loved ones was his favorite past time. He traveled to 17 states and was known for his charismatic and witty personality. He loved to make people laugh and always sparked joy in his fellow individuals with his amiable humor. He was a problem-solver who often took on difficult and unwanted projects at work and around the house. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him. 

All are invited to John's services on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, 135 W. Pumping Station Rd., Quakertown, PA 18951. There will be a visitation from 10am-12pm and a memorial service at 12pm. Please join us in celebrating the life of John Francis Gilligan IV immediately following the memorial service at North Penn Gun Club, 2555 Tollgate Rd., Quakertown, PA 18951.
