Joseph Ecker

Joseph Ronald Ecker, age 71, died Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Lehigh Valley Hospital at Cedar Crest in Allentown. Born October 12, 1947 in Allentown, he was the son of the late Adolph and Theresa (Yost) Ecker, and the beloved husband of Carol (Stradling) Ecker, to whom he'd been married for 50 years on Nov. 16, 2018. Joe was a hard-working family man. He worked as the parts manager at Scott Chevrolet for 42 years. He was also a devoted farmer and fixed up his favorite Farmall Tractors. As well, he liked 1960's muscle cars, listened to 1960's rock n' roll, and enjoyed mystery novels. Above all he was devoted to his family. In addition to his wife, Joe is survived by: his daughter, Denise Ecker-Nippert (husband Collin). In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by: brothers Richard and Robert Ecker. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 29, 2019, at Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, 135 W. Pumping Station Rd., Quakertown. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of services. Burial will follow the service at Chestnut Hill Church Cemetery, Coopersburg.
