Joseph R. Lindmeier, age 101, of Quakertown, PA, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 30, 2022 at LifeQuest Nursing Center. He was born on Nov. 16, 1920 in Philadelphia; the son of the late Fritz & Sofie Lindmeier. Joe retired in 1982, as a Turn Foreman from the Bethlehem Steel Co. Coke Oven Division after 41 years with the company. He was a past president of the Haycock Senior Citizens, a former member of the Bethlehem Steel Club, and volunteered at the Haycock Vol. Fire Co. He was always ready to help out and completed many projects for family and friends using his skills as a carpenter and cabinet maker. Joe was a long-time member of St. Isidore's RC Church. He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret who passed in March 2003, after 61 years of marriage. They met at a dance at St. John's Catholic Church in Haycock. Joe was predeceased by all of his brothers and sisters.
Joseph is survived by 3 children: Michael (Doris) Lindmeier, Thomas (Miriam) Lindmeier, and Sally Tatham; 8 grandchildren Steven, Suzanne, Trisha, Jill, Christopher, Joshua, Amy, and Sarah; 4 great grandchildren Jacob, Joseph, Kryssi, and Coy; 1 great great grandson Ka Mea; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many other loving family and friends.
All are invited on Monday, Nov. 7, 2022 to a viewing from 9:30-10:20am, and a mass at 10:30am, both at St. Isidore's RC Church, 2545 W. Pumping Station Rd, Quakertown, PA 18951. Interment will follow at Keller's Church Cemetery, Perkasie.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the church at the address above.
