Kathleen Ann Koch

Kathleen “Kathy” A. Koch, 76, of Quakertown, PA, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on March 4, 2026, at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, surrounded by her loving family after a brief battle with a serious illness.

Born in Philadelphia to the late Samuel and Marie Antoinette (née Issi) Celia, Kathy was the eldest of two children and was raised in Rockledge. She graduated from St. Hubert Catholic High School for Girls and later attended Taylor Business School, where she met her husband.

She dedicated nearly 30 years of her career as an insurance coordinator for a prosthodontist. An avid reader with a naturally curious mind, Kathy found joy and quiet reflection in books and loved traveling. She was especially known for her homemade baked goodies, which she lovingly prepared for family and friends, making them a tradition at many holidays and family celebrations. She was also an active and faithful member of St. Isidore Roman Catholic Church and its social group.

Kathy was the beloved wife of the late John M. Koch for over 52 years. She was the loving mother of Christina Wallitsch (Jon) and Stefanie Koch, and the cherished Grammy of Samantha and Benjamin Wallitsch. She was predeceased by her brother, Donald S. Celia (Pat), and her parents Samuel Celia and Marie Celia (nee Issi).

She is also survived by her brothers- and sisters-in-law: Fred (Joan), Mary Anne Smith, Madelyn Dombrow (Roy), Eileen Deravedissian, Diane Lauro (Pete), Joseph (Maureen), Elizabeth Alexander (Bill), Carol Cashman (Mike), Patricia Hause (Joel), and Janet Leo (Vince), along with many loving nieces and nephews.

Kathy will be remembered for her warmth, her faith, and the special way she made everyday moments feel like celebrations.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Friday, April 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Isidore Roman Catholic Church, 2545 West Pumping Station Road, Quakertown, PA 18951, where the family will receive guests from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Interment will follow at St. John Neumann Cemetery, 3797 County Line Road, Chalfont, PA 18914.

For those unable to attend, the Mass will be live-streamed.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Kathy’s memory may be made to the Kathleen Koch memorial fund through Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation or to the Kathleen Ann Koch memorial fund at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
