Lawrence “Larry” Henry Seiger, 89, of Perkasie, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospice House.
Born in Primrose, Pennsylvania, Larry was the beloved son of the late Joseph H. Seiger and Isabelle (Patterson) Seiger. He graduated from Cass Township High School in 1955 and went on to attend Thaddeus Stevens Trade School in Lancaster, graduating in 1958.
Larry was a proud veteran who honorably served his country in the United States Army from 1961 to 1962. Following his military service, he built a long and dedicated career at North Wales Millwork, where he worked as an estimator for many years before retiring in 2008. His strong work ethic and commitment to his responsibilities were qualities he carried throughout his life.
Beyond his professional life, Larry generously gave his time to his community. He was deeply involved in Little League Baseball for many years, serving as both a coach and an umpire. His love for the game and his willingness to give back made a lasting impression on the young players and families he encountered.
Larry was also a devoted member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Spinnerstown, where he faithfully served on numerous committees throughout the years, including Church Council and the Property Committee, and as Financial Secretary. His dedication to his church reflected his commitment to service and his desire to support the community he cherished.
Above all else, Larry’s greatest joy was his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose presence brought laughter, warmth, and comfort to those he loved. Known for his quick wit and wonderful sense of humor, Larry had a special way of making people smile and creating memories that will be treasured for years to come.
One of his greatest pleasures was cheering on his grandsons. He was their biggest fan, proudly attending their sporting events, especially their baseball games. Larry kept a calendar to ensure he never missed an opportunity to be there to support them. His unwavering encouragement and genuine pride in their accomplishments were a beautiful reflection of the love he had for his family.
Larry is survived by his beloved wife, Joan, with whom he shared 65 loving years of marriage; his children, Scott Seiger (Patricia), Cheryl Bishop (Darrell), and Melissa Bieler (Lee); and his cherished grandchildren, Jackson and Nathan Seiger, Andrew Bergan, Brett Bishop, and Brandon and Justin Bieler.
Larry’s life was defined by his devotion to his family, his service to others, his sense of humor, and the countless ways he showed his love through his presence and support. Though he will be deeply missed, the memories he created, the laughter he shared, and the love he gave will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His legacy will continue through the family he loved so dearly and the many lives he touched throughout his 89 years.
A graveside service will be held on October 30, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church Cemetery, 1565 Sleepy Hollow Road, Spinnerstown, PA 18951.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church in Spinnerstown in Larry’s memory.
