Linda Margaret Stackpole

Linda Margaret Stackpole, 84, of Perkasie, Pennsylvania, passed away on October 31st, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in San Jose, California, she was the daughter of the late Edward Chaney and the late Lucy (Harrison) Chaney.

Linda was raised in San Jose and graduated from San Jose High School. She went on to continue her education and received her bachelor’s degree in nursing. Linda worked in multiple aspects of nursing during her career. She spent the last part of her career in End of Life Care/Hospice with multiple organizations, retiring from Kaiser Permanente. After retirement, Linda moved to Maryville, Tennessee. Linda was a woman of strong faith. She shared her faith in words and with actions. She most recently attended Fairview Methodist Church in Maryville and was a member there for many years. Linda was actively involved in her community and with her church, including volunteering at the Blount County Public Library in Maryville. Even when she was no longer able to drive, she made blankets for those in need and volunteered for the Blount County Office of Aging.

Words do little justice to encompass Linda's loving, creative, and artistic spirit. A few of the many activities she enjoyed are quilting, sewing, knitting, crocheting, attending storytelling festivals, dancing, puzzles, cross stitch, basket weaving, and enjoying the beauty of nature. She was a member of the Quilters Guild in Maryville and, at times, displayed her quilts. She was generous with her talents and gifted a large majority of her beautiful creations. She was passionate about loving life and trying new things. She had a great love for the Smokey Mountains and enjoyed hiking and camping over the years. Linda had an infectious laugh and smile, spreading joy and love wherever she went. Above all, her greatest pleasure in life was spending time with her family and friends. She made an enormous impact in every life she touched.

Linda will be dearly missed by her children, Priscilla Martin (Greg Martin), Deirdre Horton, and Brendan Stackpole; her daughter-in-law, Maile Stackpole; her grandchildren, Chelsea Horton (Jonathan Labud), Kyle Martin (Ivelisse Nieva Feliciano), Misty DuFrain (Finn), Samuel Horton (Sara Gaarn-Larsen), Sheridan Stackpole (Carley), and Caolinn Martin; her great-grandchildren, Elijah DuFrain, Wren DuFrain, Oaklynn Stackpole, and River Stackpole; her siblings, Phyllis Gombert (Karl) and Carolyn Pickering; and her close friends, Susan Esparcia and Beth Rose.

Linda's family will be celebrating a life well lived on December 10th, 2023, at the Rams Pint House, 606 W. Chestnut Street, Perkasie, from 1:00PM~4:00PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Linda’s name to Grandview Hospice, Blount County Library, or Still Brave Childhood Cancer Foundation.
