Bechtelsville

Margaret Anne "Peggy" (McKeever) Luna, age 78, of Bechtelsville, formerly of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, passed away on September 12, 2021 at Lehigh Valley Health Network - Cedar Crest in Allentown. She was the loving wife to Vicente Silva Luna with whom she shared 55 years of marriage.

Born in Jersey City, NJ, Peggy was the daughter of the late Arthur and Rosemary Therese (Radican) McKeever. In 1966, Peggy married the love of her life, Vicente Silva Luna, from Mataasnakahoy, Batangas, Philippines. Peggy and Vic were from two different worlds, but were united by one truly special love for each other.

Peggy graduated from St. Dominic's Academy High School in Jersey City, New Jersey. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology at Upsala College in East Orange, New Jersey.

Peggy worked as a Registered Nurse for her husband Vicente S. Luna, OB/GYN for over 30 years until their retirement. Together, they delivered countless beautiful children into our world.

Although officially retired from nursing, Peggy never stopped caring for everyone who needed her including many family and friends. She also supported many causes including the American Diabetes Association in honor of her son, Vincent David Luna, who predeceased her in 2009 after battling complications of juvenile diabetes for many years.

Peggy's kind soul was reflected in the creativity she practiced through writing and poetry. She was extremely fond of planting and gardening, and wasted no time in planting a lavish garden upon moving to Bechtelsville, PA in early 2021. Several neighbors have attested how Peggy cared for her garden around the clock in the short time they knew her. Our family is extremely thankful to her community for welcoming her and remembering her upon her September 12 passing.

She will be most remembered for always taking care of everybody - from the smallest need to life's greatest challenges, Peggy would be right by your side. She was an incredibly empathetic listener with the patience of a saint.

Surviving along with her husband Vicente are children: Mike Luna, husband Sahag Gureghian , and Tony Luna, wife Anne, grandchildren: Luke Aedan, Olivia Rose, Margaret "Maggie" Grace Luna, Izabella Rose, and Logan John and brother: Richard McKeever and sister-in-law Christine McKeever. Peggy was predeceased by son: Vincent David Luna and infant grandson: Sean Vincent Luna ( www.SeanVincentGoesHome.com ).

A Celebration of Peggy's Life will be announced at a later date by the family.
