With great sadness we announce the passing of Rita Theresa Collins, 90 of Exton, PA on November 23, 2025, at Traditions of Lansdale. Born in Scranton, PA, Rita was the daughter of the late Joseph Waschak and the late Elizabeth Waschak (Holodnak).
Rita graduated from Taylor High School in 1953 and attended Delaware County Community College. She began her working career at Bell Telephone Company as an operator. Rita then worked as an administrative professional for several companies including CertainTeed Corporation in Wayne, The Devereux Foundation and Colonial Penn in Devon, PA.
Her passion for life extended well beyond her professional endeavors, in Rita’s free time, she enjoyed gardening, a good cup of tea, watching her favorite movies, appreciated art and enjoyed painting in her younger years.
Above all else, she was a warm kind soul who loved her family deeply and cherished the time spent with them.
Rita will be dearly missed by her children, Colleen Collins, Bert Collins, and Diane Fox; her grandchildren, Natalie Fox and Eric Fox; her great-granddaughter, Arabella Quaste-Fox; along with her extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, Rita is predeceased by her 12 siblings, the Rev. Steven Waschak, Joseph Jr., Mary, Anne Miles, Barbara Nevins, George, Agnes, Theresa Enderline, Irene Strout, Frank, Albert, and Margaret Zimak.
