Stephen Joseph Burke

Stephen “Steve” Burke, 42, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully in his sleep at home on February 10, 2026.

Steve was born on March 11,1983 to Stephen and Patricia Burke from Warrington, PA. He was married to Kimberly Burke of Quakertown, PA. Steve was a loving husband, devoted father, cherished son and brother, proud uncle, devoted friend, dedicated coworker, and the kind of man you could always count on.

Steve and his wife, Kim, met on OkCupid, and from their very first phone conversation, something felt undeniably right. Their first date in 2017 confirmed what Kim already knew in her heart, he was the man she had been waiting for. They were married on October 10, 2020, during COVID, in a beautiful and intimate ceremony that reflected their deep and steady love. Steve shared his hopes and dreams openly, including his wish to one day retire and move to Ocala, Florida. The love they shared was indescribable, they were truly each other’s person, partners for life in every sense of the word.

Steve was an amazing father to Amanda Huskey, loving her as his own. Though they were very much alike and didn’t always see eye to eye, his love for her ran deep, pure, and unwavering. He would do absolutely anything for Amanda and for Kim.

Steve was truly the kindest soul, a man with a heart of gold who would go out of his way to help anyone in need. Though he was naturally quiet and sometimes came across as not being a “people person,” those who truly knew him understood just how deeply he cared. He loved fiercely, protected quietly, and always wanted to help. He gave freely of himself even when he felt he had little to give and found purpose in being there for others. His generosity, compassion, and steady presence touched more lives than words can express.

He had a deep love for technology and a natural gift for understanding it. He enjoyed building computers from scratch and could solve almost any technical problem placed before him. He took immense pride in his work at St. Luke’s Hospital, where he worked closely with radiologists, cardiologists, and clinical staff. He loved helping others, closing issues, and knowing that his work made a difference in patient care. His dedication and work ethic were a reflection of who he was, dependable, thoughtful, and always willing to step up.

He found joy in life’s simple pleasures such as grilling, cooking, riding his four-wheeler, shooting guns, his couch and blankies, giving back to others, and traveling. Boonville, New York held a special place in his heart, and he cherished the memories made there around campfires, hiking trails, and tractor rides.

He shared a special bond with his brother-in-law Jon, who became one of his closest friends over the years. He valued their time together whether at the shooting range, cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles, or simply enjoying “man time.” Jon introduced Steve to Boonville which quickly became a place Steve deeply loved as well. Steve always looked forward to going back, making memories, and enjoying the peace it brought.

Steve also had an incredible bond with his beloved dog, Winter. After rescuing her in July of 2024, they became inseparable. Winter was his constant companion, and he loved her beyond measure.

Words cannot express how deeply he will be missed. Steve’s kindness, loyalty, quiet strength, and unwavering love leave a lasting imprint on all who were blessed to know him. Though his time here was far too short, the love he gave so freely will live on forever in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

Steve is survived by his wife, Kimberly Burke (Huskey); daughter, Amanda Huskey; Parents, Stephen and Patricia Burke; Sisters, Andrea Hartwell (Chris), Tricia Hall (Brian), and Leanne Burke; father-in-law, Don (Jane) Huskey; siblings-in-law, Kerry Lobach (Dean) Kelly Mood (Jon); and Kyle Huskey (Nicole); and nieces and nephews, Caleb and Ainsley Hartwell, Audrey and Brianna Hall, Tim and Abby Ross. Along with his extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved grandfather Stephen J Burke Jr. with whom he shared countless adventures and unbreakable bond.

Quiet in nature, mighty in heart — he loved his people well.

All are invited to visit with Steve’s family on Wednesday, February 18th, from 9:30 ~ 11:00am located at Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, Ltd. 135 W. Pumping Station Road, Quakertown, PA 18951. (215-536-3343) A funeral service will begin at 11:00am. Burial will be held privately.

Following the service, all family and friends are invited to a luncheon from 12:00 ~ 2:00, locate at the Spinnerstown Hotel, 2195 Spinnerstown Rd, Quakertown, PA 18951.
