Teagan Celeste Herman, 17, of Quakertown, PA, died on November 28th, 2025, in her home, far too soon. Born in Sellersville, PA, Teagan was the daughter of Richard Herman and Shannan Herman (Byrnes).
Teagan was a senior at Quakertown Academy where she flourished with the educational and emotional support provided by the incredible staff and educators.
Teagan spent her days applying makeup, developing her own unique flair for fashion, cultivating an aesthetic for her bedroom and listening to her favorite musical bands and artists to help her understand her emotions and the world around her.
She worked at Giant Direct on Broad Street in Quakertown as a shopper for the past two years. Her co-workers became friends and that made work more fun.
Teagan was passionate about human rights, equality, and justice. She could often be heard screaming at the TV while watching her beloved Philadelphia Eagles. Inspired by her remarkable teachers, administration and support staff at The Academy, she had goals to pursue a career in Secondary Special Education in order to help kids like herself who were able to succeed in a non-traditional school setting.
Above all else, Teagan loved her family and friends deeply and cherished the time spent with them.
Teagan will be profoundly missed by her parents, Richard and Shannan; her older brother, Nate; her paternal grandparents, Joan (Holmes) and Gary Brimager; her maternal grandmother, Lisa (Irwin) Byrnes; her uncle Brian Byrnes, uncle Patrick & aunt Jamie (Minnick) Byrnes, and aunt Cindy Herman; her boyfriend, Will Ruckeleschel; her best friends, Reese Gordon, Gabby Benner, Taylor Emberger, Liz Sanchez, Sophia Talarico, and Charlotte Jessup; her 2 dogs, Cappy and Kirby; her four cats, Marble, Smokey, Alfred, and Faris; along with her extended family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Robert P. Herman, her maternal grandmother, Maureen “Bunny” (Raquet) Byrnes and her maternal grandfather, F. Patrick Byrnes, Sr.
All are invited to visit with Teagan’s family on Saturday, December 6th, from 11:00am ~ 2:00pm, located at Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, Ltd. 135 W. Pumping Station Road, Quakertown, PA 18951. (215-536-3343) A funeral service will begin at 2:00pm.
Teagan passed away after a private struggle with her mental health. Her family chooses to share this openly in the hope that it brings awareness and encourages those who are hurting to reach out for support. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Teen Line, a nonprofit offering hope and support to teens struggling with mental health and suicidal thoughts in her honor.
