Terry R. Benner

Terry R. Benner, of Coopersburg, PA, was called home by the Lord at 12:05 a.m. on October 3, 2026, at St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem. He was 76.

Born August 14, 1950, in Quakertown, Terry was the son of Kermit R. Benner and the late Mildred P. (Herman) Benner. He graduated from Palisades High School in 1968. He then served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1968 to 1972, training as a radioman at Governors Island, NY, and later serving at Coast Guard Air Station Traverse City, MI, where he rose to the rank of Petty Officer 2nd Class.

Terry worked for J.C. Hershey, Inc. in Springtown, W.M. Moyer Company in Quakertown, Alvin H. Butz in Allentown, and Tim Fly, retiring in 2010.

Terry was deeply devoted to his family and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ's work on the cross for his salvation. He served Him faithfully. At East Swamp Church, he was a member, a trustee, and a part of the building committee. He was presently a member of Calvary Baptist Church, where he served in the children's department and played drums on the praise team. He was also a class member, group leader, and children's leader with Bible Study Fellowship International.

Terry treasured family vacations, music, and cars. He enjoyed ballroom dancing with his wife, Alana. They celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on July 4, 2026.

Terry is survived by his wife, Alana J. (Harpel) Benner; his daughters, Julie A. Webb and her husband John of Reno, NV, and Jessica L. Lorincz and her husband Terry Lorincz of Alburtis, PA; and his father, Kermit R. Benner. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Mackenzie (Lorincz) Dries and her husband Connor; Summer Lorincz; Brooke Lorincz; Sonoma Webb; Marin Webb; and Hudson Webb.

He was preceded in death by his son, Terry K. Benner, who is alive in Heaven, and by his mother, Mildred.

All are invited to visit with Terry's family on Friday, October 9, 2026, from 9:30-11:00am, located at Calvary Baptist Church, 5300 Green Pond Road, Easton, PA 18045. A celebration of life will begin at 11:00am. Following the celebration of life, all are invited to a luncheon at the church where stories and memories of Terry can continue to be told. Burial will take place at 2:45pm located at East Swamp Cemetery, 2405 E. Swamp Road, Quakertown, PA 18951.
