Listen to Obituary

Truda Keller Heck, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2026, at the age of 87.

Born on November 30, 1938 to Eugene B. Keller and Alverta (Bushong) Keller, Truda was a devoted wife and mother who dedicated her life to her family. She was the beloved wife of Grant Fries Heck, with whom she shared nearly 60 years of blissful marriage. Together, they built a life filled with love, family, and cherished memories.

Truda was a doting wife, mother, and grandmother who took great pride in caring for her family and creating a warm, loving home. She was an artist with an eye for beauty and a passion for decorating and figure skating. She loved baking and sharing her creations with family and friends, and had a special fondness for all things Irish. Truda had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcome and loved. To so many beyond her own family, she was affectionately known as “everyone’s mom,” always ready with a kind word, a helping hand, or a little extra love.

Truda generously gave her time to her community, volunteering for many years with the Penn Foundation, the Women’s Club of Quakertown, and the Quakertown Historical Society. She also volunteered with The Sounding Board as part of Quakertown Community School District's program providing troubled youths a "sounding board". Her commitment to her community reflected the same caring spirit, generosity, and compassion she brought to her family and everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Preceded in death by: Her beloved husband, Grant Fries Heck, who passed away in 2018 and sister, Edith (Keller) Green who passed in 2015.

Survived by: Her sons, Curtis Heck of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and Douglas Heck and his wife, Nancy (Shahani) Heck, of Elgin, Illinois; and their grandchildren, Patrick, Ethan, and Piper Heck.

Truda’s love for her family, her artistic spirit, her welcoming home, her sense of humor, and her instinct to care for everyone around her will be forever cherished. She leaves behind a legacy of pure love, kindness, and countless memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever loved. She was an angel.
