Wade Preston Klotz, age 66, of Hereford, PA, passed away on August 22, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest Hospital. His passing leaves a profound sense of grief among all who knew and loved him.
Born in Quakertown, PA, Wade was the son of the late John R. Klotz and Esther M. (Crist) Klotz. He graduated from Quakertown High School and went on to serve his country with pride and dedication in the United States Army National Guard in Sellersville, PA, for six years. Wade’s life was shaped by his service, his search for peace, and his enduring commitment to family.
After his time in the military, Wade married the love of his life and had two beautiful children. Though life brought its share of challenges, Wade’s devotion to his family never wavered. He found joy in being a father and grandfather, and his children and grandson were his pride and joy.
Wade worked in a variety of roles throughout his life—from Cherry’s Packing, Brick’s on Route 309, Alaco Construction, and later at Rosenberger’s Dairy in Shipping & Receiving. No matter the job, Wade brought humor, heart, and hard work to everything he did.
Outside of work, Wade was a man of many passions. He loved music, karaoke, cheering on the Phillies and Eagles, riding his motorcycle, and camping with family and friends. He was a character and a jokester—if Wade was around, laughter always followed. Despite enduring illness for many years, he faced each day with courage and resilience, communicating in his own unique way and striving to connect with those around him.
Wade’s journey was marked by both struggle and hope. Though often masked by pain, he never stopped searching for comfort, acceptance, and a place to call home. Now, he has found peace and has finally been returned home.
He will be deeply missed by his children, Wade H. Klotz and Olivia Klotz, whom he shared with his former wife, Jamie Simak (Greg); his cherished grandson, Wesley Haas; his siblings, David Klotz (Lori), Nancy Bennett, Dwayne Klotz (Sanggaini), Wayne Klotz, and Cindy Roth (Charles); and many extended family members and friends. He was predeceased by his parents and brothers, Douglas Klotz and John Klotz.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Red Hill Fire House, 71 E. 4th Street, Red Hill, PA 18076, on September 4th, 2025, from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm.
