William "Bill" Grenier Jr.

Listen to Obituary

William A. Grenier Jr., age 71, of Perkasie, Pennsylvania, passed away on June 23, 2026, at Kindred Hospital Philadelphia in Havertown, PA. He was the husband of Lynn (Jennings) Grenier, with whom he shared 46 years of marriage. Born in Fort Monmouth, NJ, he was the son of the late William A. Grenier Sr. and the late Joan (Guth) Grenier.

Bill graduated from Sayreville War Memorial high school in Sayreville, NJ. For over 45 years, he worked as a master machinist for a number of companies. It was a trade that he loved and expressed great pride in. It gave him the opportunity to be creative, put his technical skills into use, and carry on the traditions of the craftsmen who trained him.

Outside of work, Bill enjoyed history, reading, working on cars, and being with the dogs that he and his wife, Lynn, cared for together. The two of them shared a passion for dogs and as such, they were a big part of Bill’s life. His love of animals also extended to other cherished pets throughout his life, including cats, cockatiels, guinea pigs, goats, chickens, llamas, alpacas, and his boyhood rat, Shiner. He was fascinated by machines of all kinds and had an impressive, almost magical ability to fix anything.

Bill was also an active and long-time member of the Branch Valley Fish, Game, and Forestry Association and the National Rifle Association.

Bill will be remembered for being a wonderful husband and father, spoiling his wife rotten, and being an animal whisperer.

He will be missed for his big, generous heart, an ability to make friends everywhere he went, and his ready, often ribald jokes that were always delivered with a grin.

In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by his daughter, Melanie Grenier-Brusse and her husband, William Pirrone-Brusse; his sisters, Ruth Dorvin and Susan Grenier Warner; his brother-in-law, John Dorvin; and several nieces and nephews (Rich, Kris, and Kate Poulsen, Glenn Warner, and Amanda Dorvin). In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Karen Poulsen, and his nephew, Rob Poulsen.
