William Francis Dougherty Jr.

William Francis "Doc" Dougherty Jr., 83, of Quakertown, passed away on July 22, 2026. He was born in Philadelphia on May 20, 1943 to the late William Francis Dougherty Sr. and Veronica Elizabeth (Keller) Dougherty. Doc was the loving husband of Dorothy May (DeCarr) Dougherty for 55 years. Loved by everyone and known by people across the US. Doc had a list of 120 nicknames. He and Dorothy loved traveling and was a faithful Eagles, and Phillies fan. An avid Formula 1 race fan (Heaven is Turn 7). An a part of the Sheet Metals Workers Union #19.

Doc is survived by his wife Dorothy; children William Dougherty III (Jeannie) and Deborah Solen (Dan Harbaugh); grandchildren Amber (Ryan), Ashley (Micheal), Aryel, Alexis (Billy) and Gary. great grandchildren Kayley Paige (Brandon), Maddie, Taylor, Liam, Desmond, RJ, Brantley, Effie May, Anna, Mikey, Brayden, Shayla and Brantley. Hundreds of other family and friends.
