Zoltan I. Somogyi

Listen to Obituary

On Saturday afternoon, August 29th, 2026, Zoltan Somogyi Jr., was hit by a car while riding his beloved scooter on Route 611, a short distance from his home in Ottsville. He was rushed to the hospital unconscious and was cared for by the amazing doctors and nurses at St. Luke’s Hospital in Sellersville, PA. He never regained consciousness, and he died less than 24 hours after the accident in the afternoon of Sunday, August 30th.

Born in Kurlsruhe, Germany, Zoltan was the son of the late Zoltan Somogyi, Sr. and the late Theresa (Revfi) Somogyi. He had a passion for justice and advocated tirelessly for human rights. He loved languages and history and had unique theories about both.

Above all else, he loved his family deeply and cherished the time spent with them. Zoltan will be dearly missed by his son, Blue Thunder Somogyi and his wife, Sally; his previous partner, April Allridge; his grandchildren, Zachary Somogyi, Zoe Somogyi, and Akasha Miller-Saenz; his godchild Gryffyn Van Liew; along with his extended family members and friends.

Flowers should be delivered to the Naugle Funeral Home in Quakertown, PA, prior to graveside service on Sunday, September 13th, 2026 (details to the left).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Zoltan’s name to the ACLU.
